What is Training About?

Air Cadets are required to attend one evening of regular training per week; however, the 242 Ross Ferguson Air Cadets Squadron offers activities throughout the week and on weekends; some may be mandatory.

Air Cadets receive training in flying and gliding, survival skills, physical fitness, public speaking, citizenship, and precision drill.

Select cadets may participate in summer courses at training centres across Canada.

Air Cadets are under no obligation to join the Canadian Forces.

For more information about the program or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Commanding Officer - Lieutenant (N) Amanda Street at Amanda.Bingle@cadets.gc.ca
